Out Of State Weekly Run Down

The Out Of State Weekly Run Down is where we follow the soccer achievements of Florida High School Graduates playing soccer for out of state college teams. Tabitha Padgett, UNC Greensboro, Freshman

Tabitha is from Orange park, FL where she graduated from Orange Park High school in 2009.

Scored for the third game in a row in a 3-0 victory over Wofford.

 

Kristin Russell, St. John's, Sophomore, Goalie

Kristin is from St. Petersburg, FL where she graduated from St. Pete Catholic in 2008.

She made seven saves on 17 shots faced and made numerous defensive stops by coming out of net to cut off UConn scoring attempts in a 1 to 0 over time victory.

Kayla Grimsley, South Carolina, sophomore

Kayla is from Lakeland, FL where she graduated from George Jenkins High School in 2008.

Grimsley extended her season-opening scoring streak to eight games with goals in both of South Carolina's wins over the weekend against #17 UCF and South Alabama. Grimsley set the new South Carolina record with her eight-match scoring streak - besting the six-match scoring streak she set last year as a freshman. Grimsley also tied her program record four-match goal streak with her goal against South Alabama. She is now tied for the SEC lead in goals (7) and points (15).

Against the 17th-ranked Knights, Grimsley hit the game-winner at 27:18 with a header past the reigning NSCAA Player of the Week for the score. She scored another against South Alabama in the 56th minute to help keep the Gamecocks perfect on the year. Grimsley now has a .538 shot percentage (7 goals on 13 shots) and a .769 shot on goal percentage (10 of 13 shots have been on goal) this year.

Caitlin Carney, Elmhurst College, freshman

Caitlin is from Boyton Beach, FL where she graduated from Pope John Paul in 2009 and played club ball for Team Boca. Caitlin scored her first collegian goal in a 6 to 0 victory over Lakeland on September 14th.

Serra Tumay, NYU, freshman

Serra is from Delray Beach, FL where she graduated from St. Andres's in 2009 and played club ball for Team Boca.

Serra tallied her first two collegiate goals and New York University scored a season-high four first-half tallies en route to a 4-0 victory over Farmingdale State College on September 27th.

Chrissy Gratz, East Carolina, freshman

Chrissy is from Sunrise, FL and graduated from Archbishop McCarthy in 2009 and played club soccer for Team Boca.

Chrissy had an assist in a 4-3 win over UNCW on September 20th. The assist was Gratz' team-leading fourth of the season.

Rebecca Howell, Auburn, senior

Rebecca is from Satellite Beach, Fl and graduated from Satellite High School in 2006.

Rebecca scored her her fourth goal of the season and 18th career goal in a 3-2 overtime loss to Ole Miss on September 27th.

Ana Cate, Auburn, freshman

Ana is from Lithia, Fl where she graduated from Newsome High school in 2009.

Ana had taken possession just over the midfield stripe and dribbled up uncovered before finishing off with her first career goal in a 3-2 overtime loss to Ole Miss on September 27th.

Ashley Miller, Georgia, sophomore

Ashley is from Lake Mary, FL where she graduated from Lake Mary high school in 2008.

Ashley scored a goal in a 2 to 1 win over Clemson on September 18th.
