US Youth Soccer ODP Girls Winter Interregional
Games Kickoff
Under-17 and Under-19 Girls Camp held in
Ridgeland, Miss.
FRISCO, Texas (December 28, 2008) –
US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (US Youth Soccer ODP) Girls
Winter Interregional kicked off today at the Freedom Ridge Park in
Ridgeland, Miss.
The Under-17 and Under-19 Girls participated in
morning training sessions and then evening competitions. The girls will
compete through Monday, December 29. Annick McBryar from RSL and a
UF commit is playing for the U-17 Region III team. Chelsea Klotz
also from RSL and USF is playing for the U-19 Region III team along with
Kelsey Mitchell from FSA and a Virginia Tech commit. Brittany
Hahn from UNF is also in Jackson playing for the United Team.
US Youth Soccer ODP is known as the premier
identification and development program for the nation's youth seeking the
opportunity to compete at the national, professional and collegiate levels
of play.
US Youth Soccer ODP, designed to identify and
develop a pool of players from which U.S. National Teams may be selected,
is the original ODP program. US Youth Soccer ODP is the only elite player
development program that can claim members of Major League Soccer and the
former Women's United Soccer Association, as well as a majority of current
and past national and youth team members, as alumni.
