JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Osprey Classic not only produced the University of North Florida’s first win of the season but also gave senior forward Katelin Swift her third career Atlantic Sun Player of the Week Award.

The A-Sun Conference announced the award today, recognizing Swift’s three goals and assist from two matches this past weekend in the Osprey Classic.

"It's a credit to her hardwork," said head coach Linda Hamilton. "She gave us our spark on offense and created opportunities for us when she was on the field. It was well deserved for her performance over the weekend."

Swift scored two goals against Georgia State, one coming off of a corner kick and then one on a penalty kick in the final minutes of the match. The Jacksonville, Fla. native scored the first goal against Coastal Carolina which turned out to be the game winner and an assist.

On the assist she was involved with a great midfield counter attack crossing the ball to freshman forward Michele Larrinaga for the finish in UNF’s 4-0 win.

Swift showed her efficiency over the weekend reaching the back of the net three times on three attempts.

In the A-Sun Conference Swift is first in points per game (2.33), tied for first in goals per game (1.0) and is second in goals scored (3) and points (7).
