Haleigh Stremanos scored three times in the first half, taking advantage of stellar set-up work from Melony Poviones and Amunique Scott, for a comfortable American Heritage Patriots' victory over the North Broward Eagles.

Using the right sideline, Poviones twice passed to the speedy Scott who raced to the corner and crossed the ball perfectly in front of the goal area where Stremanos finished on a header and a volley, respectively, for a 4-0 lead by halftime.

''We mainly practice that, not holding the ball too long -- one, two touches -- and send it,'' Scott said. ``We're not trying to do it all by ourselves.''

Returning from injury, Sara Mira came off the bench and scored in the second half with the assist to Johnson. Keepers Mikaela Barboza and Morgan Rivera combined on the quiet shutout. North Broward Prep finished 18-4-3. The Patriots (23-2-3) play Miami Gulliver Prep in the region final Friday.
