Three Broward County residents were named to PARADE Magazine's 2009
All-America High School Boys and Girls' Soccer Teams that will be
announced in the June 14 issue.
On the boys' side, forward
Stefan Jerome (junior from Davie) and forward Hasani
Sinclair (senior from Coral Springs) received the honor.
Jerome, who played for West Pines United club soccer, is part of the
U.S. national residency program in Bradenton.
Sinclair, the Palm Beach Post Small School Boys' Soccer Player of the
Year, starred for Class 2A state champion Delray Beach-American Heritage
under Alvin James who also coaches in the Weston Fury
Soccer Club. Next season, Sinclair will play for the University of South
Florida in Tampa.
For the girls, Douglas goalkeeper Kelsey Wys (senior
from Coral Springs) earned top accolades. Wys, The Miami Herald Broward
Big School Girls' Soccer Player of the Year, competed for the Parkland
Soccer Club. She will play for Florida State.
