Piniero Earns Weekly Honors
TAMPA - Sophomore
Noelle Piniero of the University of South Florida women's soccer team has
been recognized for her efforts in the Bulls 2-1 win over American Division
favorite West Virginia Sunday afternoon being named a College Soccer 360
PRIMETIME PERFORMER OF THE WEEK and
Girls
Soccer USA Elite Performers of the Week.
"This is a great honor for Noelle and we are very happy for her," said Bulls
head coach Denise Schilte-Brown. "Noelle has been very productive for us.
She has put in a lot of time improving her game. She has really elevated her
game and her teammates around her.
The Bradenton native assisted on the Bulls first goal of the match, then
picked up what would be the eventual game winning goal in the 78th minute of
the match to push the Bulls' lead to 2-0. Through 10 matches, Pineiro has
scored a team high six goals and her 14 points is also good for tops on the
team. Her six goals is the most scored by a Bulls since former Bull Lindsay
Brauer scored nine in 2009.
Pineiro and the Bulls will look to keep its unbeaten streak in its last
three games going as the Bulls will continue their longest homestand of the
season when they host a pair of BIG EAST conference foes in Seton Hall on
Friday, Oct. 2 at 7:30 p.m. and then Rutgers on Sunday, October 4 at 1 p.m.
