Mitchell soccer slow to get started but puts away

TRINITY — After outscoring teams 10-4 in the preseason, Mitchell had a
bit more trouble finding the back of the net in the first half of Tuesday's
season-opening game against Hudson.
But the Mustangs turned up the energy in the second half and used a 20-2
shot advantage in the second period to notch a 3-1 victory at Mustang Field.
"I think we had some problems going into the game," Mitchell coach Karl
Kukec said. "Any time we play a team in (Pasco County) they are out for us,
and in the first half it seemed like (Hudson) wanted it much more than we
did.
"But it is a work in progress and we will take the win."
