Fla. - Netting the game-winning goal in a 2-1 come-from-behind victory
over Northwood (Fla.) has landed Lynn University women's soccer player
Megan Walsh Sunshine State Conference Offensive Player of the Week
recognition.
A senior midfielder from Apollo Beach, Fla., Walsh headed in a corner
kick from Brittany Evernden with five minutes remaining in a 1-1 game for
the winning score. It was the first career goal for Walsh who had four
career assists coming into the season.
The Fighting Knights return to action on Tuesday, September 1 at 3 p.m.
when they host St. Thomas (Fla.) in their home opener.
