Kathleen Shuts out Haines City to Reach District Semifinal

The Red Devils advanced by beating the Hornets with a relentless attack. Outside forwards Brooke Kaiser and Mariah Housley had their way with the Haines City defensive backs, taking several shots and crossing balls into the box all night. At the 34 minute mark Kaiser sent a ball in the box where center forward Trisha Hutchinson sent the ball past the Haines City keeper for the first score. Haiser would also play a factor in the second goal as she was taken down near the left touch line for a free kick. Sweeper Silvia Mata took the center kick and blasted it over the outstretched arms of the Hornets keeper.

With ten minutes left in the second half Kaiser would find the back of the net for the 3 and final goal of the game. The Lake Wales Highlanders and the Kathleen Red Devils will play for the district title at 7 tonight. photos from the game
