TALLAHASSEE,
Fla. - Eighth-ranked Florida State (5-2-0) scored two first half
goals, and then added another goal twelve minutes into the
second period as they handed Central Florida (4-2-0) their
second loss of the year with a 3-1 victory. Junior Toni Pressley
started off the Seminole scoring from a penalty kick during the
28th minute. Six minutes later freshman Kassey Kallman took
charge scoring the first goal of her career by dodging several
defenders and blasted the ball into the corner of the Central
Florida net from five yards out. Breezy Hupp scored the
Seminoles final goal at the 57:17 mark as she split the defense
after receiving a pass from senior Rachel Lim. The Seminoles
would never look back at the held on to the 3-1 victory.
"I thought we responded very well, in particular the first half
was very good," said Head Coach Mark Krikorian.
