Highlanders upset Bartow

The fourth-seeded Highlanders got a late goal with 13 minutes left in the game from freshman Kim Maldonado to stun top-seeded Bartow 2-1 in the semifinals.  Bartow was on the attack for the last 20 minutes. They had several dangerous opportunities as  the Lake Wales defense bent but never broke. Maldonado’s goal came from a fast break opportunity with Bartow pushed up trying to score.  

Lake Wales will next play No. 2 seed Kathleen, which eliminated No. 6 seed Haines City 3-0 in the night's second game.
