Chelsea Barney

Flagler Palm Coast

Senior finished an outstanding career by leading area in points (89)and was second in goals scored with 39 . . . Makes first team for second straight season . . . Scored huge penalty-kick goal in regional final against Oviedo, tying game late in second half.

Ciarra Britt

Taylor

Junior forward was most of the offense, helping Wildcats reach playoffs again . . . Finished strong season with area-best 40 goals, to go along with eight assists for 88 points . . . Was second-team All-Area last season with 23 goals . . . Now all-time leading scorer at Taylor.

Caitlin Lamont

Flagler Palm Coast

Senior defender was crucial to FPC winning district championship . . . Coach Pete Hald said she was indispensable and played every minute of every game . . . Excellent positional defender who helped FPC allow only 25 goals this year.

Shelley Liebetrau

Junior midfielder enjoyed breakout season as a starter . . . On a Hawks team decimated by injuries, she stood out as a dependable player . . . Scored six goals and had three assists for Hawks in '09.

Senior midfielder was a key cog in Mainland's attack . . . Was Bucs' second-leading scorer this season, with 14 goals and 23 assists for 51 points . . . Was an honorable-mention selection last season.

Junior forward makes second straight appearance on All-Area first team . . . Strong on-the-ball player poured in 27 goals and 12 assists for 66 points . . . Helped lead DeLand to Class 6A playoffs for first time in four years, where Bulldogs lost in regional quarters.

Junior midfielder earns Player of the Year honors after making first team last season. . . . Terrific all-around player with the best throw-ins, boy or girl, in the area . . . After moving up from defense, she scored 18 goals with 29 assists for 65 points.

Shellie Robinson

Sophomore goalkeeper enjoyed an outstanding season for Bulldogs. . . Terrific all-around athlete has won All-Area accolades in volleyball and softball as well . . . Had an 0.83 goals against average with 13 shutouts.

Samantha Stockhammer

Junior forward makes second consecutive appearance on first team . . . One of fastest players in area, excellent at running down loose balls. . . Scored 17 goals to go along with five assists this season.

Courtney Trujillo

Junior defender/midfielder had a strong season . . . Was an honorable-mention selection last season . . . Scored five goals and added 10 assists for 20 points this year.
