Argos Enter Postseason Ranked No. 1
KANSAS CITY, Ks.
– The University of West Florida women’s soccer will enter their eighth
straight NCAA postseason as the top ranked team in Division II as announced
by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. The Lady Argos earn
the No. 1 ranking for the sixth straight week and are the top seed in this
weekend’s NCAA Preliminary Rounds.
West Florida, fresh off their second consecutive Gulf South Conference
Championship, enters the postseason on a 19 game winning streak. They boast
the number one scoring offense in the nation, averaging 5.57 goals per
match. The Argos have dominated their competition this season, outscoring
their opponents 106-7.
This weekend the Argos will take to the pitch on Sunday afternoon at 1pm
CT at the UWF Soccer Complex. They will wait to find out who they play as
they take on the winner of Friday afternoon’s Florida Southern and North
Alabama match.
