Klotz Leads Bulls Into Pair of Weekend Matches
TAMPA -
Looking to extend its best start in 12 seasons, the University of South
Florida women's soccer team will host a pair of in-state opponents this
weekend at the USF Soccer Stadium.
To kick off the weekend, USF will renew the "War on I-4" as UCF comes to
town on Sept. 3 at 7:30 p.m. followed by Stetson on Sept. 5 at 1 p.m.
USF is 3-0-0 for just the second time in the program's history and first
since 1998.
The Bulls went 2-0-0 last week with wins over Murray State and SE
Missouri State to capture the 2010 Racer Classic. The Bulls downed host
Murray State 4-2 on Aug. 27, then dispatched SE Missouri State 4-0 on
Aug. 29.
Junior Chelsea Klotz will look to continue her red-hot start to the
season. After tallying four goals in two preseason matches, Klotz has
scored five goals through three games including two goals apiece in each
of the Bulls' matches this past weekend in the Racer Classic. Now with
19 career goals, Klotz has moved into sole possession of fourth place on
the Bulls all-time scoring list.
